In Spring 2019, the Fischell Department of Bioengineering senior class developed a total of 20 novel concepts as part of their Senior Capstone II.
Capstone, taken in the fall and spring semester of senior year, is a course in which teams of students – under the guidance of faculty and mentors – utilize what they have learned throughout their undergraduate studies to create their own engineering designs from concept to product.
Learn moreIn addition to completing core course requirements, our undergraduates have the option to specialize in one of three tracks designed to help them focus their academic interests: Biotechnology and Therapeutics Engineering, Biomechanics and Biomaterials, and Biomedical Instrumentation. Alternatively, students can choose to maintain greater flexibility in Bioengineering Studies, or tailor their electives to fulfill Pre-Health requirements.
